    Cinderella on Ice / Moliere

On Friday, I went to watch Cinderella on Ice with Zhen Wei and it was so beautiful. So beautiful that you will be entranced in silence and have to rouse yourself up when it ends to give the performers well-deserved claps.

There were times when I felt like a little girl admiring the ballerina in a music box and there were times my heart ached with the 'Prince Charming' yearning for 'The One'. There were also times when I felt like an innocent girl, envying the angelic romance of Cinderella and her Prince.

The effects; flight, projection, fire and water, added sparkle to the whole show, though I felt that the fire was brought in just for the sake of adding a visual effect; serving no particular purpose for the direction of the performance. There were two technical glitches but these things do happen in theatre performances because they are after all, carried out live. Cut them a little slack because it was just, oh so beautiful.

After the show (his first theatre production, a previous dance production in Victoria Theatre notwithstanding Smile), Zhen Wei and I hung out at Esplanade and when we walked past The Cookie Museum, I noticed the French armchairs inside. They totally reminded me of Moliere which is such a great show! I missed it in the cinemas and when I realised Alliance Francaise Theatre was screening it, I bought tickets (very reasonably priced!) and I was not let down at all. Angie, whom I brought along to watch it, was so in love with the show that her dressing for work the next day was inspired by it. Haha! I absolutely recommend you to watch it even if you feel that you are not into arty shows. The show is hilarious, touching and easy to relate.

Alliance Francaise Theatre always screens French shows at a reasonable price so you can keep your eyes peeled for shows that you may have missed in the cinemas, if you are like me; someone who certainly prefers watching movies in cinemas to on your TV or computer at home.

    Dreams

I dreamt of you again. I cried in my dreams again. You are already married. When will this stop?
