    Increasing Levels of Happiness

As I was updating myself with my girlfriends' blogs, which I do once in a hundred years, I realise I am drifting away from their lives. Don't really know how this exactly happens, except that I have to attribute it all to everyone's busy schedule. However, I think it all depends on individual's desire to meet up with whom at her minimal free time. I must start to make more of an effort to meet up wih my girls. Perhaps, I shall hook them up with another dose of Jazz by the Beach. Kenny is also interested in it. We shall see how this can pan out.

Amidst the reading, I also realise I am not in possession of a lot of photos...like those for convocation! I have to make sure I get them from Michelle asap. Otherwise, I will forget all about it again.

There was some talk on happiness in Michelle's blog. It reminded me of what I heard on the radio when I was on my way home from rehearsal. Yas on Class 95 was giving tips on increasing your level of happiness which are kind on your pocket. I managed to catch two tips...

    1. Tweak your routines from time to time so that they become more novel which will create positive emotions in you.
    2. Eat with your food placed on white plates as the white enhances the hues of your food, creating more happiness in you when you ingest.

Methinks spontaneity is a catalyst for increasing one's level of happiness.

I did something spontaneous after rehearsal just now. After Adam and I had our dinner/supper at Clementi Mac, I had a craving for Lime Ice Cream aka Solero! We trooped to the nearest 7-Eleven, thinking that NTUC has closed. Disappointed to see that this 7-Eleven does not have Solero in stock, we (or rather, I) walked in the direction of NTUC dejectedly. Hearts lifted suddenly upon noticing that NTUC was still open. After checking it out and realising that it only sells in packs of 6 Soleros, I was really pouting. I hate it when my cravings are not satisfied and this is bad as I always have lots of cravings.

Being adamant to have my Solero, I was complaining about Clementi only having one 7-Eleven when Adam mentioned there is another 7-Eleven on the opposite side of the Central area. AhHH! Off we go! Me in my heels and Adam with his badminton racket, we were united with one purpose. Solero! That first lick was a triumphant one.

    Restaurant Two

Darling just told me that he is going to celebrate his birthday this Friday at Brisbane's most atas restaurant, or so he was told. The restaurant is called Restaurant Two. He sent me the URL and it indeed looks sophosticated.

I shall ask him for feedback when he has gone and tried it out. If it is good, you may want to drop by for a meal when you are in Brisbane! Cheerios!

    Wine and Perfume Bottles

There has always been something about wine bottles that I find extremely sexy. Perhaps, it is the portion where the body starts to curve into the neck. I have no idea what but I have all along found wine bottles alluring. It might be because of this perception that I tend to be inclined towards drinking wine. I have the same love for the wine bottles and swirling wine, as perfume bottles and lovely scents contained in them. Blissful pleasure...seeing bottles and bottles of them.

Coreen once jokingly asked if I am setting up a retail shop to sell perfume when she dropped by my bedroom as I had revamped it and placed all my perfume bottles in the island I had created in the centre of it. Hee...

    Revival of Social Life

Plans are in the making for the revival of my social life, with my big event - Family Day over. My family and friends came to support this event that I have organised from scratch, together with my Manager of course. It is such satisfaction to see something come to fruition due to my effort put in. I really appreciate my loved ones taking time from their busy schedules to drop by my event. Warmth and bliss, surrounds me. Many thanks, my dearies!

Let me list my upcoming social events (not for my work):

    1) I am going to catch up with my girls, Ting and Flor, this Friday over KTV. Hope I fully get my voice back then!

    2) TL is going to help me get tickets for The Vagina Monolgues as he has SAFRA card which has discount entitlement. Once darling Terence is done with his reservist, we can meet up for the play on 12 October! What stupid reservist so long...at least 6 of us will be able to catch up, together with Carol's Ian, who brings the number to 7. Haha...

    3) Most likely, I am going to finally catch Wall-E on Wednesday with my colleagues. I heard that the only words Wall-E can say are "Wall-E" and "Eva", and yet a beautiful story can be painted. Pixar is really fantastic at what it does.

    4) Mamma Mia is opening on 18 Sep and Vicky Cristina Barcelona on 26 Sep. My movie urges are brimming over.

    5) Budak Pantai is finally having a performance again. They astounded me the first time and I can't wait for this upcoming sensation! Going once again with my SIM mates on 26 Sep...sheer A Capella enjoyment!

    6) I am going to watch "Boom" with my sister at DBS Arts Centre. Hope it is a good play.

Just listing all these down makes me feel alive again! Woohoo!

    Butt Itchy for Travelling

Under the Tuscan Sun is not a fantastic show though it certainly has great actors but I just love Italy...and Italian. It is one of the 3 languages that I have decided to pursue in this lifetime. Can't wait to start learning Spanish next year! Once my play is over in Jan, I shall get started on it.

The recent talk of holidaying is making me feel more and more restless and fidgety. A short getaway at a resort will be enough. With a book and sunny days, I will be fine. Such simplicty is already indulgence as my mind and body get their well-deserved pampering.

    'Surprise' Flowers

Darling sent flowers to my office yesterday but it was not really a surprise as the 'transport company' already called me on Sunday to check if I will be in office from 9am - 1pm. Nevertheless, it is a gorgeous arrangement of flowers in a vase and though I don't like the smell of flowers, I absolutely love receiving them!

I have certainly been on the good side of Cupid recently. Hee...Thank you, darling!

I am actually adverse to the smell of flowers. The sacrifice I go to to get diverse shots!

The Very White Bling Bling Party

Still exhausted from last night's party at Zouk...Lots of babes and guys in white, or rather glowing blue since it was all under UV light. I seemed to have drunk more than I danced which is not the norm for me. Learnt about a drink called "Nothing"...3 tiers of "Nothing" to go around. Smelled like pastries...Weird but not lethal so I downed shot after shot since it was an easy drink. It got me warm and red quickly though.

As usual, I got tipsy and not drunk. There must be something wrong with my body system because I go straight to sleep mode after tipsy, never arriving at drunk mode. The worst I have gotten so far would probably be my MOS trip with my colleagues or perhaps, my India trip. Although I have never gotten drunk before (my definition being not able to remember things the next day and most likely did stuff really out of character), I certainly wouldn't want to be because I reckon it is very scary as it is out of your control.

Caught up with a number of council mates and met new people. Zoee and Daphne were looking hot as usual, and met a cool girl with a name to match, Iyin. Lots of clutching and hugging since we were unsteady on our feet. Haha...Terence don't even remember saying bye to me and Ericia chatted up an Austrian guy whom I have to admit is photogenic. I do hope Adam and Yoong Yih (my new friends from Acting Workshop) enjoyed themselves.

Hugs and kisses to my lovely friends who were out to have fun!

    Ultimate Joke

Something happened yesterday and I keep telling myself that I must blog it.

I have this friend. Let's call him "A" to save him much much embarrassment. We were talking on MSN and my MSN nick was as follows:-
"Flair Personified - The Very White Bling Bling Party & The Vagina Monologues"

The Very White Bling Bling Party is the theme of the party I am going tonight and The Vagina Monolgues is a famous play which I am going to watch. He did not know of such a play and when he was talking to me, he said the following:-
A: I saw your vagina and was like stun

I laughed out loud when I read that because it totally sounds wrong! Haha! And...I knew he didn't realise so I copied and pasted what he said in our conversation window. He got it. It was the ultimate joke of the century!

Had a good time chilling out with Kenny and Daoyi at Rail Mall last night until I realise it was 3am and I really need to get home in case I get locked out for breaking curfew. At least it was a good Friday spent...Wonder how the party will be tonight with people from my SIM clique goes individually with other groups. I am already dressed in white and shall bring on the bling later! Enjoy your weekend!
