June 28 Wonderful TonightI went to KTV with my colleagues yesterday. It was such a surprise when the next song's title which popped onto the tv screen stated "Wonderful Tonight". A surprise so much so that I had to re-adjust my emotions in anticipation of my colleague singing that song. Yet, a few sentences into the song, tears came and I had to leave to collect myself. Breathe............ June 24 Just RantingWe have been reduced to just "Hello", "Goodnight" "and Bye".
When will I stop falling asleep while listening to "Duan Dian" in bed?
Nobody is perfect but are you perfect for me?
I had the perfect one for me but a slut came around and my world came tumbling down.
There was no turning back but I was slow to realise.
You are not here and someone came around, but I know he is not perfect for me so I shall not waste his time.
I am not asking for too much, am I?
Just want to find the perfect one for me.
We are nothing and you complain.
With your current behaviour, I believe nothing is still the best.
Otherwise, I will just get hurt more, not less.
I am starting to feel immune to "Bei Pan" as the memory of crying in your car fades.
"Let Me Die" has become a distant memory though the ache in my heart will forever stay as a love never fulfilled.
It is not easy at all. Never will be.
Going to bed now, with only the company of "Duan Dian".
June 18 Warming of my HeartMy bad day yesterday was lit up when my colleague/friend said that her friends see her as one who brightens up their lives but I am the one who brightens up hers. *Sweet* May her rough patch be over soon. June 07 Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian* Contains spoilers
Just watched the movie yesterday and did a little catching up with my dear friends...Nearly cried while watching the show...It parallels so many things in the bible.
At the beginning of the show, the topic was on childhood/ adulthood (Peter does not want to be treated like a child but Edward pointed out that they are still children). Lucy was the only one who could see Aslan because she is the representation of a child. God wants us to be children, to seek him with pure hearts. Matthew 19:14 - Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
In front of God, there is no pride to speak of; only humility and love (refer to the part where the chief mouse, Reepicheep, spoke to Aslan about his losing of his tail).
The entire show is conveying the fact that we as humans, can achieve something but will not gain victory if God is not with us (Peter felt that they have waited for Aslan long enough and decided to go ahead with the attack which rendered many dead and injured eventually, and had to withdraw in defeat / At the final battle, they were able to defeat the cavalry but realised they are powerless against the thousands of enemy soldiers until Aslan came amongst them). We have limited abilities as humans but if He is with us, who can be against us? Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Ultimately, we have to seek Him. With the years of life that we have been through, we think that we are equipped with great wisdom and can succeed at all things that we put our minds to. Eventually, we lose sight of Him and do not yearn for Him anymore. Let us remember this movie then. |
