    Recent Birthday Celebrations

Spending time with people you hold close to your heart is something worth treasuring, what more it is their birthdays!

For Daoyi and Bernard's birthday celebration, we were off to Party World and St James. A few days beforehand, I saw a toga top in a mesmerising blue at Mango. I had to buy it and where else to debut it other than the party?! It was a messy night because we had about 20 persons at St James. There were lots of drama; people emo-ing, people tipsy-platform-dancing-almost-fall-off-but-still-don't-wanna-come-down, people dancing hotly to get people to buy drinks, people drunk coma-ing, drunk hugs and kisses, drunk threats and people on standby in case of fights.

For Gideon's, we had the best tiramisu (IMO) at da paolo gastronomia at Cluny Court, followed by dinner at La Petite Cuisine at Serene Centre. You gotta try La Petite Cuisine for its French cuisine on almost-shoestring budget. Ooh-la-la! The wholegrain mustard and butter rice is the ultimate combination. Oh...I just realised I have not recommended my favourite tiramisu here before! I have been doing so recently and even ended up having it for dessert during lunchtime with my colleagues today. It is a must-try and most likely, you will fall in love with it, just like me! Cluny Court (aka Curly Court according to Gideon) is also such a little gem. If you love colonial, Victorian, parisian and baroque, I figure you have a taste like mine, and will like Cluny Court and its little shops (and toilets).

    Aussie & NZ Goodies

Just got started on the alcoholic chocolate that Ziyang got for me from Aussie. OMG...it has a lot of alcohol in that one little piece of chocolate! I had to stop at just one for the night. It is a lovely package though, because it has many different types of alcohol inside the box, with each chocolate shaped as a bottle of alcohol.

I am still working on finishing the Bundaberg Rum Fudge. It is so rich that you can't have many at one go, but it is really good!

Of course, I am still using the delightful kiwi body lotion from NZ. I would recommend it as the smell is light and 'gorgeous', and it gets absorbed by your skin easily because it is not too creamy. Now, my problem is...when will I be able to finish my body lotions?! My Victoria's Secret is also being suspended because I seem to fall asleep more easily with the kiwi one.

Hmm...speaking of alcohol, I seem to be drinking much more these days. Clubbing with my colleagues, chilling out with Zhengwei, chilling out with Golf, drinking with members...not good...

It's Time for a Holiday Again!

Angie suggested going to either Batam or Bintan for a short holiday. Bernard and Angie asked me to go to the swim camp in Malaysia with them. My body is indeed aching for a holiday! The holiday I need is a relaxing one...just like my recent cruise. Bintan, here I come!

    Littering in Thailand

Perhaps, I am a brainwashed young Singaporean. Perhaps, I am just nice. Why, you ask? Because I don't litter.

When I see someone litter (I observe this person tends to be either an older Singaporean or a foreiger), I will shake my head in disgust. It is just not the way I was brought up. I realised something yesterday that made me see the irony of it all.

My friends and I were chatting to Golf, my friend from Thailand, about the current situation in Thailand. It led to the discussion of the bombings which took place when my girlfriend visited Bangkok and Golf with her friends. Golf don't see these situations as dangerous at all as he feels that the insurgents are just trying to make their points and do not want to truly hurt the masses which is why they tend to throw bombs in rubbish bins. He noted that Thais do not throw rubbish into the bins so whoever get hurt because they are near the bins are just 'sway'. Hence, I told them that I am at a disadvantage, as I must always throw rubbish into bins.

Conclusion: When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
