February 28 Loving SpontaneityDon't you love doing things spontaneously? Having spur-of-the-moment ideas which are crazy?
I went clubbing with my colleagues on Thursday and it was organised during lunch. This bout of spontaneity got us a group of 5 persons in total and though St James was not crowded, it was enjoyable. Apparently, it doesn't matter if people danced or not as I am able to dance on my own because I had a good group of people with whom I am comfy with.
Yesterday, I went to have dinner at East Coast with my member and omg...the food was delish!! You have to try it for yourself in this little authentic Perenakan shophouse. The restaurant is called Perenakan Inn, along East Coast Road. It is the same road whereby you can find the famous Katong Antique House, Rumah Bebe and Kim Choo dumplings and museum.
The spontaneous thing about yesterday was that I decided to go to Changi Airport when I was supposed to take the Joo-Koon bound train from Tanah Merah after splitting from my member. Many of my friends would know I love going to the airport. I ended up buying lots of stuff from Candy Empire, almost bought a ring from Mini Bits and got quite fed up trying to see aeroplanes from the viewing mall at Terminal 3. If I knew the viewing mall at T3 is like that, I would have gone to my favourite T1 viewing mall.
Do not spurn crazy ideas borned out of nowhere as those add spice to your life with the novel touch of spontaneity. xoxo February 18 Nouvelle VagueI am hooked on "Dance with Me" by Nouvelle Vague now. The first time I heard their songs was in Terence's car and I was mesmerised. Thereafter, I saw them perform at ZoukOut and it was fantastic! They performed this song that night and I loved it.
A little about them:
"Nouvelle Vague" is a French project initialised by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. "Nouvelle Vague", meaning "New Wave" in French and "Bossa Nova" in portuguese, revisits a number of both Marc and Olivier's favourite tracks of the early eighties. Their idea was to forget the initial punk or new wave background of each song, keep simple fundamental chords, work with young singers who have never heard the orginal versions, and make the quality of original songwriting happen in a completely different way.
Let's dance little stranger Show me secret sins Love can be like bondage Seduce me once again Burning like an angel Who has heaven in reprieve Burning like the voodoo man With devils on his sleeve Won't you dance with me In my world of fantasy Won't you dance with me Ritual fertility Like an apparition You don't seem real at all Like a premonition Of curses on my soul The way I want to love you Well it could be against the law I've seen you in a thousand minds You've made the angels fall Won't you dance with me In my world of fantasy Won't you dance with me Ritual fertility Come on little stranger There's only one last dance Soon the music's over Let's give it one more chance Won't you dance with me In my world of fantasy Won't you dance with me Ritual fertility Take a chance with me In my world of fantasy Won't you dance with me Ritual fertility February 09 A Year for Holidays! My 'sprained' wrist is taking a damn long time to heal. The bandage's off but it still hurts and feels fragile, as if it's telling me it can't carry heavy stuff. Sian...
I'm super looking forward to my cruise holiday though. Lounging on the sunbed, with the company of the sun, breeze and a book. Admiring the stars in the open sea while snuggled up with a blankie as the wind howls. Delightful indeed.
Ooh...I shall take this chance to break in the present that Jingsong's mum got me for christmas/birthday last year.
Can put my important cards, cash and stuff...Hoho! So excited! Armed with my new hat and bikinis, I'm ready!
Speaking of Jingsong's mum...we chatted in church again today. Asked her if Jingsong's home for CNY but apparently, he can't come back coz he's only been there for 3 months (didn't realise he has only gone there for 3 months as it felt longer than that). Anyway, Auntie mentioned that instead, she may be going there in May and asked if I wanna go along!! OMG...I nearly fainted...told her not to ask me to do such a 'scary' thing coz I was too stunned by the suggestion to come up with a more apt adjective but my point was sort of put across (though I don't think she agrees with me). How can I possibly go with her?! Anyway, Jingkuang and Caiyun may be going too. Even if it's not awkward, I would also be very 'extra'. Hmmm...everyone is partnered up...maybe Auntie wants to partner me. Wahaha! It may get a little boring for her when the 2 couples are getting all lovey-dovey. Hee...ok...shall not visualise lovey-dovey scenarios.
Nevertheless, Taiwan is still under consideration for our SIMmies' oversea trip which reminds me that I need to make a decision as everyone is so ''anything''. With 27 days of leave and many off-in-lieu, it's a year for holidays! Woohoo! |
